Welcoming new Australian citizens on Australia Day is a great pleasure.
After the formalities, it's always terrific to meet new citizens including 93-year-old Mrs May Condon.
American-born Mrs Condon married an Australian serviceman and moved to Sydney after World War II. She says she didn't get around to becoming a citizen while her husband was alive but decided to finally take the step to keep a promise to her husband.
