I was pleased to join volunteers at Bare Island and Malabar Headland to help Clean Up Australia.
More than half a million people around Australia participated in this year's Clean Up – it's 21st year.
Ian Kiernan, founder of Clean Up Australia, estimates that more than 250,000 tonnes of rubbish was collected around Australia.
